Tanda medical college MBBS students shine at international conference OSMECON 2025

Dharamshala: Three MBBS students of Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, known as Tanda medical college, earned national and international recognition by excelling at OSMECON 2025, an international medical conference held in Hyderabad.
Competing among over 4,000 delegates, the students won top honours across paper presentation, dermatology case presentation and debate categories.
College authorities said the achievements of the students reflect their academic excellence and research skills, bringing distinction to both the institution and Himachal Pradesh at a global medical forum.
According to a recent UNI report, three MBBS students of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda, brought laurels to the institution and Himachal Pradesh with their outstanding performance at OSMECON 2025, an international medical conference held from December 27 to 29 at Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad.
Disclosing this on Wednesday, Dr. Milap Sharma Principal Dr Rajendra Prasad Govt Medical College Kàngra told UNI that the conference, focused on advancements in clinical medicine, research innovation and interdisciplinary healthcare, was attended by over 4,000 delegates from across the world.
He said that the abstracts submitted by the Tanda students were selected in multiple categories, including paper, poster and clinical case presentations.
Sharma said that Shashank Kaul, a fourth-year MBBS student, qualified through three rounds of debate to reach the finals. Agrima Kapoor, also a fourth-year student, won the paper presentation category, while Maanya, a third-year MBBS student, secured first place in the dermatology case presentation.
Dr Milap said that their achievements at the international forum highlight their academic excellence and research aptitude, placing them among the top student performers at OSMECON 2025.
