RGUHS notifies on conduct of online classes for Medical, Dental, AYUSH students
Bengaluru: Through a recent notice, the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) has informed on the conduct of online classes for the next academic term /semester/ year of Medical, Dental and AYUSH students.
The varsity has clearly stated that as there has been a surge in COVID- 19 and uncertainty about the students attending the colleges, Rajiv Gandhi university of health sciences is instructing to permit the students to the next academic term / semester (3rd, 5th, 7th) /year (2nd,3rd, 4th) for Medical / Dental / AYUSH / Pharmacy/ Nursing / Physiotherapy/ Allied Health Science and to conduct online classes for Dental / Pharmacy / Nursing / Physiotherapy/ Unani/ Naturopathy/Allied Health Science from 17th August 2020.
However, all the students should appear for their previous years/semesters/term examinations whenever they are held.
It further directed, "All Principals are also instructed to strictly follow the University's instructions that the students must obtain eligibility from the institution, by attending online classes before appearing for University examinations.'
The attendance particulars of the students shall be sent to the respective emails as suggested vide Reference (1) above in the prescribed format weekly and consolidated statement monthly.
All Medical/Dental/AYUSH/Pharmacy/Nursing/Physiotherapy/Allied Health Science Colleges should conduct Internal Assessment and Practical's through online mode till the regular classes are started.
The University will assume that Principals will exercise with due care and caution while sending the students attendance to the University. They shall also ensure that the students have enough attendance in their previous semester/term/year. Accordingly, the Principals are responsible for all these academic activities.
