NEET 2022: NTA releases Advisory for candidates, Check out Do's and Don'ts
New Delhi : The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a set of guidelines for candidates who will appear for NEET 2022 Examination which is going to be conducted tomorrow, 17th July 2022 (Sunday), from 02.00 pm to 5.20 pm (Indian Standard Time) in pen and paper mode.
In the NTA advisory, all the participating candidates have been asked to take note of the following instructions to appear for the MBBS entrance test.
Kindly note the following for immediate action:
You should download your Admit Card and keep at least 2 copies with you. The Admit Card consists of four pages- Page 1 contains the Centre details and Self Declaration (Undertaking) form regarding COVID-19, Page 2 has "Postcard Size Photograph" and "Page 3 has "Important instructions for candidates" and Page 4 has "Advisory for candidates regarding COVID-19". You are required to download and carefully read all these pages and strictly adhere to them.
The Page 1 — "Centre Details and Self-declaration/Undertaking" and Page 2 — "Postcard Size Photograph" must be filled and handed over to Invigilator.
You must paste your latest coloured postcard size (4" x 6") photograph in the designated space and keep at least 2 copies with you for future references.
You need to ensure that your Post card size photograph and signature on page no. 2 match with the photograph and signature pasted on page no. 1 of Admit Card. You must bring page no. 2 of the Admit Card with a pasted Post card size photograph. if you don't bring this, then you will not be allowed to sit in the examination.
You need to ensure that your signature must be done across the photograph on the left side on page no. 2. You should ensure that your Left-Hand Thumb Impression is clear and not smudged.
Please ensure that Signature of Parent is done in designated space in Admit Card.
As a precaution for COVID-19, you must reach the Centre at the time as indicated against Reporting/Entry time at the Centre in the Admit Card. You will not be allowed to enter the Centre after the Gate Closing Time (1:30 Pm).
You are suggested to visit the examination venue, a day in advance so that you do not face any problem on the day of examination.
You must carry "Any one of the original and valid Photo Identification Proof issued by the government" —PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ 12th Class Board Admit or Registration card/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)! E-Aadhaar/Ration Card/ Aadhaar Enrolment No. with Photo. All other ID/Photocopies of IDs even if attested/scanned photo of IDs in mobile phone will NOT be considered as valid ID Proof.
On completion of the test, you must hand over the OMR Sheet (both Original and Office Copy) to the Invigilator and take away only the Test Booklet with you. No part of the Test Booklet and OMR Answer Sheet shall be detached under any circumstances.
You need to ensure that, without special permission of the Centre Superintendent or Invigilator, you would not leave the seat. You should not leave the Examination Hall without handing over the Answer Sheet to the Invigilator on duty and sign (with time) the Attendance Sheet twice. Cases, where a candidate has not signed the Attendance Sheet a second time, will be deemed not to have handed over the Answer Sheet and dealt with as Unfair Means case.

Biometric attendance of candidates is mandatory and a hologram will be affixed on the Admit Card once the biometric is done. Invigilators must check the Admit Cards for hologram and in case hologram is not found on the Admit Card, the candidate must be asked to complete the biometric activity after the examination.
You will be ALLOWED to carry only the following items with you into the examination venue:
• Personal transparent water bottle.
• Additional photograph same as uploaded on Application Form, which you need to paste on Attendance Sheet
• Personal hand sanitizer (50m1)
• Admit Card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) with Postcard size photograph affixed on the designated space (page 2) downloaded from the NTA website (a clear print out on A4 size paper) duly filled in.
• Before reaching the Centre, the candidates MUSE enter the required details in the Undertaking in legible handwriting.
For PwD Candidate:
The PwD candidates must bring a PwD Certificate issued by the Competent Authority if claiming relaxation under the PwD category. |
It is to be noted that Scribe will be provided by National Testing Agency only. The Candidate will NOT be allowed to bring his/her own Scribe. |
The facility of Scribe will be provided, in case he/she has a physical limitation and a scribe is essential to write the examination on Iris/her behalf; being so certified in the prescribed format (Appendix- XII, XIII, XI V) whichever is applicable given in Information Bulletin by a CMO/Civil Surgeon/ Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution. |
Compensatory time of one hour five minutes will be provided for the examination of three hours & 20 minutes (03:20 lice) duration. whether such candidate (having a physical limitation to write) uses the.facility of Scribe or not. |
You are NOT ALLOWED to carry any personal belongings including electronic devices, mobile phones and other banned/ prohibited items listed in the Information Bulletin to the Examination Centre. Examination Officials will not be responsible for the safe keep of personal belongings and there will be no facility.
You need to follow the Advisory regarding COVID-19 as given below:
• Practice Social distancing;
• Mandatorily use N-95 masks being provided at the Centre.
• Use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers (for at least 20 seconds) can be made, wherever feasible.
• Strictly .follow respiratory etiquette. This involves strict practice of covering one's mouth and nose while coughing/ sneezing with a tissue/ handkerchief/flexed elbow and disposing off used tissues properly;
• Self-monitor health by all and reporting any illness at the earliest;
SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS RELATED TO QUESTION PAPER
The test is of 3.20 hours duration and the Test Booklet contains 200 multiple — choice question (four options with a single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology). 50 questions in each subject are divided into two Sections (A and B) as per details given below:

Note: Correct option narked will be given (.0 marks and Incorrect option marked will be minus one (-I) mark. Unatiempted/Unanswered Questions will he given no marks. |
Important Points to Note:
Candidates are advised to read all 15 questions in each subject of Section-B before they start attempting them. In the event of a candidate attempting more than ten questions, the first ten questions answered by the candidate shall be evaluated.
(a) For Section A (MCQs): To answer a question, the candidates need to choose one option corresponding to the correct answer or the most appropriate answer. However, if any anomaly or discrepancy is found after the process of challenges of the key verification, it shall be addressed in the following manner:
(i) Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Four marks (+4)
(ii) Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
(iii) Unanswered/Markedfor Review will be given no mark (0).
(iv) If more than one option is fotmd to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
(v) If all options are found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
(w) If none of the options is found correct or a Question is found to be wrong or a Question is dropped then all candidates who have appeared will be given four marks (+4) irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.
(b) For Section B (MCQs): Candidates need to attempt any 10 Questions out of 15 Questions given. In the event of a candidate having attempted more than 10 questions, only the first 10 attempted questions will be considered for evaluation. There will also be negative marking for Section B. However, if any anomaly or discrepancy is found after the process of challenges of the key verification, it shall be addressed in the following manner:
i. Correct Answer: Four marks (+4)
ii. Incorrect Answer: Minus one mark (-1)
iii. Unanswered/Marked for Review: No mark (0).
iv. If more than one option is found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
v. If all options are found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
vi. If a question is found to be incorrect or the Question is dropped then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question. The reason could he due to human error or technical error.
vii. Candidates are advised to do the calculations with the constants given (if any) in the questions.
