NEET PG 2023: Take a look at 10 AIR Toppers
New Delhi: After successfully conducting the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) examination on March 5, 2023, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) finally declared the result of the PG medical entrance test on Tuesday.
Here is the list of 10 All India Rank (AIR) holders:
Dr Aarushi Narwani, hailing from Jaipur has scored the highest marks in the exam and secured AIR 1, followed by Dr Prem Tilak with AIR 2. Dr Tilak is from South India and his mother is from Kerala and father from Tamil Nadu. While Dr. Arushi Narwani secured 725 marks, Dr Tilak scored 721 in the PG entrance examination.
AIR 3 has been secured by Rupesh, followed by Dr Aakasth Sethi with AIR 4, and Dr Ameya with AIR 5. They scored 721, 718 and 717 respectively in the NEET PG 2023.

As per the latest media report by Careers 360, AIR 6 has been secured by Dr Keshav Garg, followed by Dr Jui with AIR 7. Both of them scored 716 in the PG entrance examination. Dr Rahul has secured AIR 9 with 711 marks and AIR 10 has been secured by Dr Sagar, who also scored 711 marks in the exam.
Although the name of candidate who secured AIR 8 is not known, College Dekho adds that this positions has been secured by Roll No 23661110342 with 715 marks..
AIR 1 Dr. Arushi Narwani:
Hailing from Jaipur, Dr Arushi Narwani is from VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital and she has become NEET PG 2023 topper scoring 725 marks out of 800. This is the second time that a female candidate has topped the PG medical entrance examination because last year the position had been secured by Dr Shagun Batra, who had scored altogether 705 marks out of 800 marks.
Soon after the results were declared, Dr Arushi shared her preparation tips in a YouTube channel. She mentioned that her golden rule for preparation was following only one source for the purpose of studying.
India.com adds that Dr Arushi mentioned how during the COVID-19 pandemic, she studied online and later switched of offline classes. She also said that while preparing for the exam, she used to take a day off every week to meet her friends and chill.
Dr Arushi hails from a family of doctors with her mother Dr Riya Narwani teaching anatomy at Jaipur's Sawai Man Singh Medical College. Her father, on the other hand, Dr Sanjay Narwani is an ENT surgeon.
While as a child, Dr Aarushi did not believe becoming a doctor in future, she mentioned that it was only when she was in class 12 that she decided to pursue medicine since her favourite subject was biology, adds Hindustan Times.
Commenting on her preparations for NEET-PG 2023, she mentioned, “I started preparing for NEET-PG in 2020. The Covid-19 lockdown was going on, so most of my preparations happened at home... Preparations started becoming intense when I started my internship at Safdarjung… We have to be on duty for 12 hours, and sometimes even 24 hours.”
Dr Narwani is now planning to get enrolled for Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Even though she has not made her final decision yet, she is likely to take up radiology. “I am yet to make that call,” she mentioned.
NEET-PG 2023 Results:
NEET-PG examination is a centralized medical entrance examination for admission to several PG medical courses in India including Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD) as well as PG Diploma courses. Altogether 2,08,898 NEET PG aspirants appeared for the NEET PG 2023 exam this year.
Every question in NEET-PG 2023 was reviewed by the subject matter experts from the concerned speciality after the conduct of NEET-PG 2023 to re-check for technical correctness of the questions and answer keys. Per the inputs from the subject matter experts, no question was found to be technically incorrect or ambiguous.
The result of NEET-PG 2023 indicating the scores obtained by the candidates and NEET-PG 2023 Rank has been declared and can be seen at NBEMS websites https://natboard.edu.in/ and https://nbe.edu.in.
Individual scorecards of the candidates who appeared in NEET-PG 2023 can be downloaded from the website https://nbe.edu.in/ on/after 25th March 2023.
What's NEXT?
The candidates who have qualified in the NEET PG entrance examination will be participating in various counselling rounds that will be conducted for All India Quota seats, state medical and dental colleges, Central and Deemed Universities, etc. To participate in the NEET PG counselling 2023, medical graduates must fulfil the eligibility and domicile requirements as per their preference of college and course.
The NEET PG 2022 cutoff list has also been released, cutoff score for General is 291, 257 for SC/ST/OBC and 274 for General-PH.
In accordance with the minimum qualifying/eligibility criteria for admission to MD/MS/DNB/Diploma Courses, as mentioned in the Information Bulletin for NEET-PG 2023, the cut-off scores for various categories are as follows –

Further, NBE has announced that the merit position for All India 50% quota seats will be declared separately. The States/UT will generate the final merit list/category-wise merit list for State quota seats per their qualifying/eligibility criteria, applicable guidelines/regulations & reservation policy.
If at any stage, candidates are found to have resorted to using any unfair means in the exam, such candidates will be liable for penal action. As deemed appropriate by NBEMS, action will be taken against the candidates. In the event of any such candidates being declared qualified in the NEET-PG 2023, the results/candidature of such candidates will be cancelled and/or are deemed to be cancelled.
The candidates note that their candidature is purely provisional, subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria as mentioned in the NEET-PG 2023 Information Bulletin and verification of their Face ID/Biometric wherever required.
Congratulating the successful candidates of NEET PG 2023 exam, the Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya Tweeted, “The result of NEET-PG 2023 has been announced today! Congrats to all students declared qualified in results. NBEMS has again done a great job by successfully conducting NEET-PG exams and declaring results in a record time. I appreciate their efforts!"
