NEET PG 2024 Counselling Schedule Expected in 2 to 3 days, says Doctors' body
New Delhi: The National Eligibility-and-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) exam aspirants might soon get clarity regarding their admission process as the authorities might release the tentative schedule for the exam in the next two to three days.
Dr. Lakshya Mittal, the president of the United Doctors Front Association (UDFA), mentioned in an X (formerly Twitter) post that the tentative schedule for the NEET-PG 2024 exam is expected to be updated within the next 2-3 days.
"NEET-PG 2024 tentative counselling schedule is expected to be updated within next 2-3 days. We urge all aspirants to stay tuned for further updates. All the best," Dr. Mittal mentioned in his post while sharing the release from UDFA.
In the release, the association shared the status update regarding the NEET-PG 2024 counselling and mentioned, "As per discussions of team UDFA with MCC & Health Ministry officials, the NEET PG 2024 tentative schedule is expected to be updated within the next 2-3 days. We urge all aspirants to stay tuned for further updates & all the very best to aspirants."
After several controversies, the NEET PG 2024 exam was finally conducted on August 11, 2024, and the results were declared on August 23, 2024. However, the aspirants are worried about their future without any clarity regarding the counselling schedule for the PG medical entrance exam.
Referring to this, Dr. Mittal told Medical Dialogues, "We have been getting lots of calls and queries from the aspirants who are worried about the lack of clarity regarding the counselling schedule. The authorities assured us they would release the schedule in the next 2-3 days."
Earlier, highlighting the concerns of the PG medical aspirants regarding the delay in commencement of NEET PG 2024 counselling, UDFA had sought the Union Health Minister J P Nadda's intervention. The association wrote to the Union Health Minister after the NEET PG aspirants wrote to UDFA and highlighted this issue.
As per the aspirants, even though the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) started the registration process last month on 20th, there was no other information regarding the last date of registration, information brochure, seat matrix etc.
