New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed about the extension in the cut-off date for completion of the MBBS internship towards eligibility of candidates participating in NEET PG 2021 Counselling with respect to PG medical admissions this academic year.

It is for the information for all the concerned NEET PG counselling aspirants that MCC has extended the cut off date for internship completion till 30.9.2021.

The cut-off date for Internship Completion for PG Courses is considered invariably as 31st March of each academic year. In its notice, the MCC has clearly mentioned that this year, since candidates could not complete their internship timely due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, National Medical Commission (NMC) has extended the cut off date for completion of internship till 30.09.2021.

Hence, this year the cut off date for completion of Internship for Under Graduate courses will be considered as 30.09.2021 and all candidates who have completed their MBBS internship by 30.09.2021 will be eligible for participating in NEET PG Counselling 2021, the notice read.

NEET PG 2021 counselling for admission to PG medical courses has been put on hold by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The counselling was scheduled to have commenced from yesterday, i.e. 25.10.2021. Therefore, all the concerned candidates are requested to wait till the next notification of the MCC Once clarifications are sought/received from the Hon'ble Court, the Counselling for NEET-PG, 2021 shall commence.

Belowmentioned is the NEET PG Counselling schedule that was released by the MCC. With the current hold on the counselling process, the schedule stands nullified.

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) conducted the NEET PG 2021 exam on September 11. The result was declared on September 28. The exam is conducted for admission to Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), PG Diploma and DNB CET seats.

The MCC/ Directorate General of Health Services, MoHFW, GoI will conduct the NEET PG Counselling 2021 for the following:

a) 50% All India Quota seats of all states. This year Jammu & Kashmir is likely to participate in All India Quota counselling subject to confirmation from competent State authorities.

b) 100% seats (All India Quota seats + Institutional Quota seats) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/ Central Institutes as per eligibility conditions mentioned in Information Bulletin duly uploaded on MCC website.

c) 100% seats of Deemed Universities

d) All P.G seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation.

e) All P.G seats of Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions (only Registration part)

f) Central Institutes, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital & ABVIMS & RML Hospital (50% All India Quota seats and 50% seats of I.P University)

g) From this academic year i.e 2021-22, MCC will be conducting counseling for PG DNB seats of Institutions across India affiliated to NBEMS as per the directions of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in W.P (C) No. 11011 of 2020 in the matter of Alapati Jyotsana Vs. UoI & Ors. NBEMS accredited Institutes should ensure to visit MCC websites for latest updates and a Nodal Officer should be assigned for the purpose of counselling.

h) For participation in NEET PG Counselling 2021 the candidates are required to go for Registration at the official website of the Medical Counseling Committee (www.mcc.nic.in).

i) Kindly note that Non- Refundable registration fees and Refundable Security deposits have to be paid by the candidates at the time of registration as per their category.

j) The Refundable Security Deposit of candidates who do not join the seats allotted to them in Round-2 & in further Rounds of counselling will be Forfeited.

k) Reservation of seats under SC, ST, OBC, EWS & PwD Category will be as per Gazette Notifications, Supreme Court directions, and O.Ms issued by GoI.
