New NEET PG 2024 exam Date by This Week, says NBE: Report
New Delhi: Despite the assurances and assumptions that the new date for the NEET-PG 2024 would be announced by Tuesday or Wednesday, no announcement has come either from the side of the Union Health Ministry, National Board of Examinations (NBE) or the National Medical Commission (NMC).
Amid this confusion among the doctors who will be appearing in the Postgraduate medical entrance test, a senior official from the NBE told Indian Express on July 2 that the new exam date for the National Eligibility-and-Entrance Test for postgraduate courses (NEET PG) 2024 will be released this week.
The Daily has reported that NBE sources confirmed that a plan in this regard has been shared with the Centre and the NBE is awaiting approval on the same.

"We need to take proper care of logistics when conducting such a big exam like NEET PG. So we cannot announce the exam dates without first discussing and getting a green signal from TCS, our logistics partner, and the government," the source explained to Indian Express.
NEET PG 2024 was postponed at the last minute by the Union Health Ministry as a precautionary measure. While the exam was scheduled to be held on 23rd June, 2024, Ministry postponed it on 22nd June, 2024, around 12 hours before the exam was about to take place. The exam was cancelled amid the allegations of the NEET-UG 2024 paper leak and the cancellation of the UGC-NET exam.
Recently, NBE President Dr. Abhijat Sheth informed Indian Express that the new date for the NEET-PG 2024 examination would be announced "hopefully before next weekend.". He had further informed that a plan had been shared with the Union Ministry of Education and after getting approval from the Ministry, a new exam date would be intimated to the students.
Thereafter, the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also informed that NBE will announce the new date for NEET PG 2024 by "Monday or Tuesday". He said, "To my knowledge, NBE will soon be announcing the date of the NEET PG exam by Monday or Tuesday…"
The Union Education Minister made this statement on Saturday in Haryana's Panchkula ahead of an event where the Union Home Minister Amit Shah was due to address the BJP executive meeting of party workers.
Meanwhile, addressing the issue that the new date for NEET PG-2024 still has not been announced, Dr. Aviral Mathur, the President of the Federation of Resident Doctors' Association (FORDA), told Medical Dialogues, "This is especially worrying and anxiety fuelling for the students and their families, who spend every day not knowing what their academic future holds."
