AFMS NEET BSc Nursing Admissions 2025: 220 seats up for grabs, check out eligibility criteria, selection process

Pune- The Armed Force Medical College (AFMC) has released a flow chart regarding the admission of students to the BSc Nursing Course for the academic year 2025. In addition, AFMC has also detailed the eligibility criteria, educational qualification and steps for selection to BSc Nursing in colleges of Nursing under AFMS.
The candidates will be selected for training at Colleges of Nursing under AFMS according to the total intake of students sanctioned by the Govt of India Ministry of Defence annually and based on the final merit option prepared using the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) score, Computer Based Test of General Intelligence and General English (ToGIGE), Psychological Assessment (PA) and Interview, subject to medical fitness and vacancies at each College.
The BSc Nursing Course is conducted at six Colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services, namely College of Nursing AFMC Pune, INHS Asvini Mumbai AH(R&R) New Delhi, CH (EC) Kolkata CH (CC) Lucknow and CHAF Bangalore. As per the flow chart, a total of 220 seats are vacant across 6 nursing colleges. Of these, the AFMC Pune, INHS Asvini Mumbai, CH (CC) Lucknow and CH (AF) Bangalore have the highest number of nursing colleges. Meanwhile, the CH (EC) Kolkata and AH(R&R) Delhi have the lowest number of Nursing colleges.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
1 Female candidates who are unmarried / divorced / legally separated / widow without encumbrances.
2 Nationality - Citizen of India.
3 Date of Birth - the candidate must not be less than 17 years or more than 25 years of age in which year the course is due to commence.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Candidate must have passed in the first attempt, Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent (12 Years schooling) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English with not less than 50o /aggregate marks as a regular student from a Statutory/Recognized Board/University/Examining Body. Candidates who will be appearing for the final year of qualifying examination during the current academic session may also apply provisionally. The candidates finally selected for the course will have to submit proof of passing the qualifying examination with requisite subjects and marks before joining the course.
STEPS FOR SELECTION TO BSc(N) IN COLLEGES OF NURSING UNDER AFMS
Register for NEET(UG) of that particular year

Qualify NEET (UG) conducted by NTA.
⬇️
Register and apply for BSc(N) at the Join Indian Army website. Payment of application fees of Rs 200/- (except SC/ST) to be done through SBI E challan.

List of shortlisted candidates by use of NEET(UG) score will be published on JIA website along with the date wise schedule for screening.
⬇️
Appear for the screening process (Document verification, ToGIGE, Interview, Psychological Assessment, Medical Examination) at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt on the given date if called to attend the same.

Medical fitness of the candidate is decided as per the medical fitness standards and criteria prescribed for grant of Commission in the Armed Forces.

Final selection will be based on combined merit of NEET (UG) scores + ToGIGE scores + Psychological Assessment and Interview subject to medical fitness.

Merit List will be prepared and colleges will be allocated to the selected candidates based on merit cum choice, subject to seats available at each college.
