BOPEE Admission Process For BSc Nursing, BSc Paramedical Courses begins, Online Applications To End On 3 May

BOPEE Admission Process For BSc Nursing, BSc Paramedical Courses begins, Online Applications To End On 3 May

Jammu & Kashmir: J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) has begun the Admission to B.Sc. Nursing /B.Sc. Paramedical in Government / Private Colleges/Institutions of UT of J&K. Online applications are invited from the candidates willing to apply for these courses.

The online application form will be available from 19.4.2023, and the last date for filling out the online application forms is 03-05-2023 (Midnight). The fee of Rs. 1000 will be paid online through a National Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking. The e-Information Brochure can be downloaded from the BOPEE website viz www.jkbopee.gov.in. Date of Common Entrance Test to be notified separately.

The interested candidates are required to upload the following scanned original / self-attested certificates in PDF format with sizes from 100-200 KB along with the Application Form -

1. Domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may be (For Candidates of UT of Ladakh, ST certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Ladakh will be treated as Domicile Certificate)

2. Qualifying marks (12th Class) certificate; (where the result is declared)

3. Date of Birth Certificate (only Matriculation Certificate issued by the Board)

4. Valid Reserved category certificate, if any

5. Any other documents, as requested

Afore-titled documents, as required for submission of the application form, will be considered provisional and subject to change(s), if any, as may be notified by the Government subsequently. The online submitted Application Form is purely provisional and is liable to be canceled at any stage subject to the final verification of the documents and even at any stage where such a document is proven fake/false.

The candidature of those candidates, who may have submitted incorrect/wrong application forms during the online process, will be liable to be rejected without any further notice to such candidates. However, they can rectify their correction(s), if any, by submitting a physical representation at the BOPEE office in Jammu / Srinagar on or before the last date fixed by Board for filling up online application forms.

Mere submission of the Application Form and appearance of the aspiring candidate in the Entrance Test will not confer any preferential right/claim for admission upon the intending applicants but will be subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria and the qualification prescribed for the said course.

The candidates applying for admission to B.Sc. The nursing Programme must fulfill the following eligibility criteria -

A candidate must -

1. Be a domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may be (For Candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh, an ST certificate issued by a Competent Authority of Ladakh will be treated as a Domicile certificate).

2. Be 17 years old on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.

3. Have passed the qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and passed in English individually, including the candidates from State Open Schools recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government having Science subjects and English only.

4. For the candidates belonging to reserved categories, the marks obtained in 3 core subjects will be 40% instead of 45% for General category candidates.

5. The candidate must be medically fit.

The candidates appearing/appearing in the 10+2 (12th Class) examination 2023 can also apply, provided such candidates have qualified for the examination at the time of declaration of the result of the Entrance Test or before the date of counseling/admission as may be notified by the Board.

The candidates applying for admission to B.Sc. The nursing Programme must fulfill the following eligibility criteria -

The candidates applying for admission to B.Sc. Para-Medical Courses must fulfill the following eligibility criteria -

A candidate must -

1. Be a domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may be (For Candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh, an ST certificate issued by a Competent Authority of Ladakh will be treated as a Domicile certificate)

2. Be at least 17 years old on 31st December-2023

3. Have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Science (PCB) and English through a recognized Board / University, securing a minimum of 50% marks and above for Open Merit Candidates and 40 % marks and above for candidates belonging to Reserved Categories in aggregate

The candidates appearing/appeared in the 10+2 (12th Class) examination; 2023 can also apply, provided such candidates have qualified for the examination at the time of declaration of the result of the Entrance Test or before the date of counseling/admission as may be notified by the Board;

The candidates applying for Lateral Entry must have obtained a diploma in the concerned stream and passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and a diploma registered with J&K Para-Medical Council.

The eligibility is bare minimum/provisional and will be subject to such changes/benchmarks as may be fixed by the concerned Competent Authority/ University. The Board will, on receipt of any such communication from the concerned authority/University, notify the same, which will govern the eligibility criteria.

Venue for Conduct of Examination - The Common Entrance Examination, if any, will be conducted offline at Jammu / Srinagar centers simultaneously as may be decided by the Board.

Issuance of Admit Cards and Date of Test (if the test is conducted) - Information regardinglity of Online Admit Cards, Venue and Time of the Common Entrance Test will be issued separately.

Section -

The selection of the candidates for such courses will be regulated by the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination Act, 2002 and the Rules and Regulations there under; Jammu &Kashmir Reservation Act, 2004 as amended vide J&K Re-organization Act, 2019, J&K Reservation Rules, 2005 as amended vide SO 69 dated 28-02-2020, SO 127 dated 20-04-2020, SO 249 dated 23-07-2021, SO 277 dated 13-08-2021 and subject to further amendments, if any, made by the Competent Authority, from time to time and the guidelines as contained in the Electronic Information Brochure-2023.

If the Board does not conduct the entrance test, the eligible candidates will be selected based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

Original Documents required to be submitted to the Institution at the time of Admission -

1. Marks certificate of the qualifying examinations (12th class marks certificate)

2. Date of birth (Matriculation / Secondary School Certificate) from a recognized Board

3. Domicile Certificate for candidates belonging to UT of J&K and ST certificate as a Domicile for candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh

4. Category Certificate, if any

5. Any other document as may be required by the Institution
