MSc Nursing July 2023 Session: Admit Card Released For PGIMER Entrance Exam
Chandigarh: The entrance exam for MSc Nursing July 2023 Session (Batch - 2023-25) is to be conducted on 3.6.2023. Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) has released the admit card.

A merit list of candidates is prepared based on marks obtained in the online entrance examination. A merit list is prepared for each category of candidates viz.
1. General
2. Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Other Backward Communities
3. Persons with Benchmark Disability
4. PGI In services candidates
Seats for these categories are not interchangeable. However, PwBD candidates selected under the PwBD category will consume the seat of their category, like GEN/SC/ST/OBC.
Criteria for selection –
The selection will be made strictly in order of merit of the candidates in the respective merit lists of entrance tests.
An overall merit list will be prepared based on the percentile obtained by all the candidates appearing in the entrance examination (irrespective of their category). Candidates of various categories who secure percentile in the theory examination, as mentioned against each category, will qualify for admission –
1. General category: 50th percentile
2. SC/ST/OBC & PwBD: 45th percentile
If two or more candidates obtain equal percentile in the entrance examination for admission to the MSc Nursing course, then their inter-se-merit for admission to the course shall be determined based on the following –
1. A candidate who has made more attempts to pass the qualifying exam (BSc Nursing) will rank junior to a candidate who has made fewer attempts.
2. If the attempts to pass the qualifying exam (BSc Nursing) are also the same, then a candidate with higher marks in the said examination (BSc Nursing) will rank senior to a candidate with lower marks.
3. If the attempts made in passing the said examinations and the marks obtained are also the same, then a candidate senior in age shall rank senior to the candidate who is junior in age.
