PGIMER announces round 3 counselling for BSc Nursing admissions, check details

As per the notice issued by the Academic Section of PGIMER, the counselling will be conducted on September 30, 2026, at the NINE Auditorium, PGIMER, Chandigarh. Document verification will begin at 9:00 am, followed by counselling at 11:00 am.

Candidates with minimum percentile mentioned below are qualified for counseling: (the status of number of vacant seats may increase in view of any other seat falling vacant in between. Such seat will be considered to be filled up in the 3rd /open/mop-up round of counseling and no further counseling will be held thereafter.)

For B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) – Non-PGI, three seats are currently vacant. This includes one UR seat, one OBC seat and one SC seat. The percentile cut-off for counselling is 87.3106 and above for UR candidates, 68.7500 and above for OBC candidates, and 78.5985 and above for SC candidates. No ST seat is vacant.

The notice also mentions two PwBD seats, with candidates securing 59.3750 percentile and above being called for counselling. Reservation for PwBD candidates will be provided on a horizontal basis.

Selected candidates will be required to pay the fee etc. through the Demand Draft / Banker's Cheque on the spot, failing which her / his selection will be treated as cancelled and the seat will be offered to the next candidate in order of merit.

The Demand draft (DD) / banker cheque (purchased / issued from Bank and not from the personal cheque book) should be in favour of “Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh” as per amount (two separate DDs/ Banker’s cheque) mentioned below

For the four-year B.Sc. Nursing course, no seats are currently shown as vacant across the listed categories. The notice further states that no eligible PwBD candidate is available.

For BSc Nursing (Post Basic), candidates must submit one DD/Banker's Cheque of Rs 850 towards the course fee and another of Rs 5,000 towards security. For BSc Nursing (4 Years), the course fee is Rs 835, while a separate Rs 5,000 DD/Banker's Cheque is required towards security.

IMPORTANT POINTS

1 The seats will be filled strictly based on merit.

2 All the qualified candidates are requested to be present in person.

3 The qualified candidates with above-mentioned percentile are required to report for document verification compulsorily on the date & time mentioned above at auditorium of National Institute of Nursing Education (NINE), PGIMER, Chandigarh.

4 Kindly bring your original documents as well as one set of photocopies of your documents for the same.

5 Candidates will be required to be seated in the auditorium by 8:30 AM positively for document verification followed by counselling on 30 September 2026.
