RIMS Imphal invites applications for MSc Nursing 2021

RIMS Imphal invites applications for MSc Nursing 2021

Imphal: The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal has invited applications for admission to MSc Nursing Course for the academic session 2021-2022 in the College of Nursing, RIMS, Imphal.

The information to this effect was announced on the official website of DME Tripura as well.

The total number of seats is 8 (eight), out of these, one seat each is distributed to seven beneficiary states i.e. Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. And the remaining one seat will be reserved for Nursing Staffs working in RIMS and Staffs working in the College of Nursing, RIMS, Imphal.

Due to the present global pandemic situation, the selection of candidate will be done on the basis of marks obtained by the eligible candidates in the last qualifying examination for this academic session 2021-2022.

The details for the admission for the academic session 2021-2022 is as follows.

1. No. of seats - 8 (eight), (Medical Surgical Nursing — 4 Community Health Nursing — 4)

2. Availability of application form with prospectus (online) - 25th August, 2021 onwards

3. Last date of receipt of application form - 18th September, 2021

4. Date of notification of eligible candidate (online) - 25th September, 2021

5. Declaration of results (Online) - 30th September, 2021

6. Date of counseling (Online) - 6th October, 2021

7. Date of Admission - On or before 16th October, 2021

The Prospectus along with Application form can be downloaded from the RIMS website www.rims.edu.in. The duly completed application form along with a Demand Draft of Rs.2,000/- (Rupees two thousand) only for all categories, drawn in favour of Director, RIMS, Imphal from a Nationalized Bank payable at Imphal as the cost of admission process fee and other charges, should reach the office of Principal College of Nursing, RIMS on time.

Application form received after 18th September, 2021 will not be entertained.

Admission criteria for M.Sc. Nursing programme in College of Nursing, RIMS, Imphal (According to INC):

Eligibility criteria for admission:

• The Candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Council Registration.

• The Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of: B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc.Hons. Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.

• The Candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing council.

• Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an approved Hospital/College/School of Nursing or a Community Health Setting/Programme after registration in the SNC.

• Candidate shall be medically fit.

Selection process:

• A selection committee/ board will be formed for the selection process.

• Due to the present global pandemic situation, the selection of candidate will be done on the basis of marks obtained by the eligible candidates in the last qualifying examination for this academic session 2021-2022.

• In case of any controversy the decision of Selection Committee will be the final.

• Legal jurisdiction will be at Imphal.

Seats Distribution:

• 1(one) Seat will be distributed to each beneficiary states of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

• One seat is reserved for Nursing Staff working in RIMS and Staff working in the College of Nursing, RIMS, Imphal.

Submission of application:

a) The Prospectus along with Application form can be downloaded from the RIMS website www.rims.edu.in. from 25.08.2021 onwards.

b) The Candidate should fill in the application form in his/her own handwriting, clearly and legibly.

c) Duly completed Application form should reach to the office of the Principal, College of Nursing, RIMS, Imphal on or before 18th September, 2021. The application forms should be submitted along with a Demand Draft of Rs.2,000/-(Rupees two thousand) only, for all categories, drawn in favour of Director, RIMS, Imphal from a Nationalized Bank payable at Imphal as the cost of admission process fee and other charges.

d) The demand Draft is non-transferable & non-refundable.

e) Incomplete application forms shall be rejected and no correspondence will be entertained by the Institute in this regard. Complaints/Application forms received after the last date of submission of applications will not be entertained.

f) Application of all in-service candidates should be routed through his/her employer irrespective of sponsored or open category.

4. Declaration of result 30th September, 2021 (Online)

5. Date of Counseling 6th October, 2021 (online)

6. Date of Admission On or before 16th October, 2021

7. Commencement of the session Last week of October 2021 (Tentative)

Admission:

Following counseling, final selection list will be published & the candidates are required to get themselves admitted on or before 16th October, 2021 by paying necessary fees and surrendering the following original documents to the College of Nursing, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal.

1. State Nursing council Registration Certificate.

2. Marks sheets of B.Sc. Nursing.

3. University Degree certificate of B.Sc. Nursing.
