Chennai: The Directorate of Medical Education in Tamil Nadu, TN Health has invited applications from eligible candidates for admissions into Paramedical Diploma and Certificate courses for this academic session of 2021-2022.

The last date to apply is 07-02-2022 UPTO 5.00 P.M.

All the concerned candidates are hereby advised to check out the following details including schedule, eligibility criteria, age limit, application process, fee and selection instructions so as to avoid any confusion while applying at the official website of TN Health.

 The online submission of application form for admission to Paramedical Diploma/Certificate Courses 2021-2022 session in Tamil Nadu Government Medical Colleges, can be accessed from the following websites. www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in / www.tnmedicalselection.org.

 Any change or modification and relevant information pertaining to this admission process will be made available on the websites. www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in / www.tnmedicalselection.org.

 The candidates are instructed to visit the above websites frequently for updates from the date of online application till the end of admission process without fail. Selection committee will not be responsible for consequences resulting due to non-diligent follow-up of notices, notification and publications appearing on the websites regarding admission to all Paramedical Diploma/Certificate Courses 2021-2022 session.

 If a candidate is unable to access the online application, then they can appear in person with parent or guardian, along with all the original certificates at any one of the facilitation centre available in the nearest Government Medical Colleges / Tamil Nadu Government Dental College / Government Erode Medical College, Perundurai / Rajah Muthiah Medical and Dental College, Chidambaram for registration purpose.

 Candidates are advised to take printout the prospectus and read the prospectus carefully with parents or Guardian before filling the online application and ensure that no mandatory column is left blank. In the event of rejection of the online application form, no correspondence/ request for re-consideration will be entertained.

 Incomplete online application form will be summarily rejected.

 Incase of any doubt kindly verify both Tamil / English version.

GENERAL INSTRUCTION

a. Candidates seeking admission to all Paramedical Diploma/Certificate Courses 2021-2022 should submit the online filled in application form along with necessary enclosures should reach the following address on or before 07-02-2022 at 05.00 PM.

b. The candidates shall ensure that the filled in online application form with all particulars and enclosures (Transfer Certificate, 10th Mark Sheet, 11th Mark Sheet, 12th Mark Sheet, Certificate for proof of study from VI std to XII std and Community Certificate) should be reached to the Selection Committee within the date and time specified. Applications received by Speed Post/Courier or any other means after the last date & time will not be accepted irrespective of the date of booking.

c. The Selection Committee shall not be responsible for any delay in the receipt or for the loss in transit of application form etc.

d. Request for extension of time for submission of documents called for, after the specified date and time will not be considered

e. Any supporting documents / application received after due date will not be considered.

f. Under Special Category the Children of Ex-Servicemen only eligible for the Diploma in Pharmacy Course and Differently Abled Persons are eligible for other Diploma and Certificate courses and they shall submit the prescribed format (Annexure-I & Annexure-II (A)& (B) respectively.

g. If the required certificates for special category are not enclosed by the candidates, they will not be considered under special category. But they will be considered under general category only.

h. Candidates can track their online applications on the websites by entering their online application number (or) +2/Equivalent Examination Reg. No. of first appearance with the year.

ELIGIBILITY:

The candidate should be a citizen of India and native of Tamilnadu.

NATIVITY:

a. Candidates belonging to other States cannot claim native of Tamil Nadu

b. Candidates who are Native of Tamil Nadu and who have studied from 6th standard to 12th standard in schools of Tamil Nadu need not submit their "Nativity Certificate".

c. Permanent Residence Certificate in Lieu of Nativity Certificate will not be accepted.

d. Candidates who are Native of Tamil Nadu, but studied from 6th Standard to 12th standard either partly or completely in one or more states should produce their Nativity Certificate issued by the competent authority and true copies of their parent's certificates such as SSLC /10th Mark Sheet,12th Mark Sheet,Transfer Certificate, Aadhar, Voter's ID, Driving License, Passport and Ration Card to substantiate their place of birth in Tamil Nadu, to ensure the Relationship between the parent and candidate. If the true copies of the supporting document is not produced, then the online application will be summarily rejected.

e. Candidates who are native of Tamil Nadu alone will be considered for communal reservation.

f. Other State candidates who are not native of Tamil Nadu but who have Studied 6th standard to 12th standard in Tamil Nadu will be treated as OC (Open Competition) candidate.

AGE LIMIT:

FOR OTHER DIPLOMA/CRTIFICATE COURSES

a. Non-Service candidates:

(Diploma and Certificate

courses except D.Pharm)

Candidates should have completed 17 years

of age and should not have completed 32 years

as on 31st December 2021. For SC/SCA/ST

candidates' maximum age is enhanced to 37

years. Evidence should be produced.

b. Diploma in Pharmacy

(Only for Non-Service

Candidates)

Candidates must have completed 17 years of age

and should not have completed 30 years as on

31st December 2021 (For SC/ST candidates'

maximum age is enhanced to 35 years). Evidence

should be produced.

c. Service candidates:

Regular service candidate who have successfully

completed the period of Probation are alone

eligible to apply only for certain Para-medical

Certificate / Diploma Courses. The selection will

be based on their service seniority.

Para Medical Certificate Courses:

The Service Candidates should not have completed 54 years as on 31.12.2021. They should execute a bond to accept to serve the Government for thrice the period of training after completion of the course. Diploma in Radio Diagnosis Technology (DRDT) /Diploma in Radio Therapy

Technology (DRTT):

The Service Candidates should not have completed 50 years as on 31.12.2021.

Diploma in Medical Record Science:

Service Candidate should not have completed 50 years of age as on 31.12.2021

Multi Purpose Hospital Worker Course:

The Service Candidates should not have completed 54 years as on 31.12.2021. They should execute a bond to accept to serve the Government for thrice the period of training after completion of the course.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

 Candidates who have passed the HSC in Open University are not eligible.

PROCEDURE FOR FILLING AND SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATION:-

a) (i) The candidate should log on in any one of the following official websites

(ii) The fees for online application process is Rs.300/- and should be paid via bank portal.

(iii) Candidates should submit their filled-in online application form by uploading the details in the required fields.

(iv) Request for change in any particulars in the online Application shall not be entertained under any circumstances after submission.

(v) Candidates are advised to submit only one Application Form. If a candidate submits more than one Application Form, his/her candidature will be cancelled.

(vi) Candidates should ensure that all informations entered in the online application are correct during the online submission of application form.

(vii) Candidates should submit the print out of the filled-in online application form (Hard Copy) along with necessary enclosures.

c) Candidates should send their filled-in online application form along with all the enclosures in an A4 size cloth lined cover. The template with the requisitedetails should be printed and pasted on the cover.

(d) AR Number (Application Registration Number) will be assigned by the Selection Committee on receipt of the filled-in online applications.

Candidates are instructed to enclose only the photocopies (not original) of the following certificates in the order indicated below along with the application.

a. The Mark sheet(s) of H.S.C. examination/any other Equivalent examination duly endorsed by the competent authority. Photo copy of both the sides of the mark sheets should be enclosed.

b. Transfer certificate obtained after the completion of H.S.C. or Equivalent courses.

c. Nativity certificate (if applicable).

d. Permanent Community Certificate Card

e. Candidates seeking Admission under Special Category seats should submit necessary certificates obtained from appropriate authorities in the prescribed format as mentioned in Annexure I & II (A) & (B) and submit them along with the application.

f. X standard Mark Sheet.

g. Certificate for proof of study from 6TH standard to 12TH standard (candidate if studied in Tamilnadu)

(f) Fee prescribed for Multi Purpose Hospital Worker at Tamil Nadu GovernmentMulti Specialty Hospital at Omandurar Government Estate, Chennai. Course fee: Rs.1,500/-per annum.

(g) The selected candidates should pay the above fees. However they are liable to pay any revision in fee as and when fixed by the Government / Departments and his / her parents/ guardian will have to sign a declaration form mentioned in Annexure VI.

(h) Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

(i) Candidates discontinuing the course cannot claim / refund of fees paid. The Transfer Certificate and Conduct Certificate will be issued to the discontinued candidates by the Head of the Institutions on receipt of declaration from the student and parent that they will not request for rejoining the Course or for the refund of fees paid.

(j) The selected Service candidates should pay the above fees and are exempted from paying Tuition fees alone.

Those who fail to join the course on the prescribed date and time will not be eligible for admission on a later date.

Candidates selected for admission and their parent / guardian will have to sign discipline declaration form in Annexure–V, Revision of fee declaration form in Annexure–VI and Allotment and Re-allotment declaration form in Annexure–VII. Failure to sign the declaration will result in the cancellation of selection.

Students who have 80% of Attendance only will be permitted to write examination on the completion of course. But, they will be allowed to appear in supplementary examination. Candidates who have successfully completed the course and the continuous internship training will be awarded a certificate.

Enquiry or any correspondence regarding the selection of candidates will not be entertained.

10 % of the total number of seats for all Paramedical Certificate Courses are reserved for service candidates (Except E.E.G./E.M.G Courses).

If there are no eligible service candidates to fill up the vacant seats allotted to service candidates for Paramedical Courses, the same will be filled up with eligible private candidates.

a) Selection for the course is only provisional. The selection and admission is liable to be cancelled at any time as and when eligibility conditions are found to be defective in addition to facts suppressed or overlooked. The right of allotment to the selected candidates ultimately rests with The Secretary, Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education, Kilpauk, Chennai-10.

b) Candidate selected for admission to Para Medical Diploma / Certificate Courses are not guaranteed any appointment in Government Service.

Candidates selected for admission have to undergo Medical Examination at the College to which they are allotted and to appear before the Medical Board on the date notified by the authorities of the college. Only those candidates found medically fit will be admitted and permitted to pay the fees.

The Secretary, Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education, will have the right to enforce any of the Govt. orders / norms / guidelines / adopt suggestions on the basis of court directions issued from time to time. The Government orders issued and to be issued from time to time pertaining to any of the matters not contained in the Prospectus should be read as part and parcel of this Prospectus and such Terms and Conditions in the Government Orders are deemed to have been incorporated in this prospectus.
