Actress Sambhavna Seth speaks out about miscarriage, accuses doctor of negligence

Mumbai: Actress and YouTuber Sambhavna Seth recently opened up about her heartbreaking miscarriage and said that it happened due to the medical negligence of a doctor during her IVF treatment.
In an emotional interview with Hindi Rush, Sambhavna shared that she and her husband have been trying to become parents since 2024, but unfortunately, she suffered a miscarriage in the third month of her pregnancy.
Sambhavna revealed that she was very excited about her pregnancy and had even done a photoshoot with her baby bump. She had planned to announce the good news after her third-month scan. But then she was shocked when she came to know about the miscarriage. The scan showed that her baby had already stopped growing 15 days earlier.
She said that it was the doctor's mistake because he did not check when she said that she was in a lot of pain, NDTV Hindi reports.
Sambhavna said, "When you transfer the embryo, there is a genetic testing before that, you did not do the same. Basically, it was genetically abnormal. Think what would have happened if this was known in the fifth month."
Expressing her anger against the doctor, she said, "You imagine that I went for a scan in the third month, then I came to know that everything was over 15 days ago. So for 15 days, I was roaming around with poison inside. Anything could have happened to me. And then for 15 days, I was saying that I was in a lot of pain. And my doctor was saying, 'This is your arthritis."
She further shared that when she contacted her arthritis doctor, she told her that the upper back pain hints at miscarriage, but her main doctor didn't listen to her. When she had a miscarriage, she just called it 'unfortunate'. Sambhavna stated that the doctor didn't show sympathy but rather called it 'unfortunate'.
The actress has been sharing her pregnancy journey with her fans through YouTube vlogs. She recently decided to speak out to make others aware of the possible complications during IVF treatments.
