35 year old MBBS doctor preparing for NEET PG found dead at home in Varanasi

Olatpur Doctor Dies in Suspected Fall from Balcony
Varanasi: In an unfortunate incident, a 35-year-old MBBS doctor who was preparing for NEET PG entrance allegedly committed suicide by hanging at Shivam Complex in the Lanka area of Varanasi.
During the investigation, the police found that the student was preparing for the upcoming NEET PG examination. However, the reason behind the doctor's allegedly taking the extreme step remains unknown, and no suicide note was recovered from the spot.
The incident came to light when the father, who is an advocate, returned home in the evening from court and found her door locked from the inside. Following this, he knocked on his daughter's door, but there was no response. The family then broke open the door. On entering the room, the father was shocked to find his daughter hanging from the ceiling.

After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and collected evidence with the help of a forensic team. The body was later sent for a post-mortem. The police also questioned the family members.
As per a report by Dainik Bhaskar, the family suspects that the doctor may have been under stress due to her studies.
Speaking on the matter, ACP Gaurav Kumar told ETV Bharat, said, "We received information about the incident at Shivam Complex under Lanka police station limits and rushed to the scene. By then, the family members had already broken open the door and brought the body out. We completed the legal formalities and sent the body for a post-mortem. A forensic team has also collected samples from the spot."
The police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that a 40-year-old doctor allegedly committed suicide after administering an unknown injection in his parked car beside the Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Rampally Dayara. According to the police, before taking the extreme step, the doctor shared his live location with his wife. When he stopped responding to her calls and his location remained unchanged near the ORR, she alerted the police. Acting on the information, police reached the spot and found him dead inside the vehicle.
