As per a Mathrubhumi news report, the shocking incident happened on Monday night at around 11.30 pm when the husband of a patient who was undergoing treatment at the hospital created a ruckus in the ward, accusing the staff of delaying to replacement of a cannula for an injection.
At the time, the junior doctor, a 3rd-year PG student in General Medicine, was on duty and doing rounds when she heard the bystander shouting and disrupting the atmosphere. When she inquired about it, the accused brutally assaulted her by snatching her mask and slapping her multiple times, reports TOI.
