45 year old doctor dies after unidentified vehicle hits motorcycle in MP

Bhopal: A 45-year-old doctor died after an unidentified vehicle allegedly hit his motorcycle in Madhya Pradesh's Maihar district on Saturday night. Police have launched an investigation to identify the vehicle and trace its driver.
According to police, the accident took place at around 9:30 pm when the doctor was travelling from Maihar towards his home in Atarhar, located in neighbouring Satna district. The collision left him seriously injured.
The deceased was a resident of Atarhar in neighbouring Satna district and had been returning home from Maihar when the accident occurred, police said.
After receiving information about the incident, the doctor's family members reached the spot and took him to Civil Hospital, Maihar, for medical treatment. However, doctors examined him and declared him dead.
The body was subsequently kept at the hospital mortuary, police said. Personnel from the Kotwali police station later reached the accident site and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
As part of the probe, investigators are examining CCTV footage from near the accident site and along the surrounding roads to identify the unidentified vehicle that allegedly hit the motorcycle and are examining other evidence to determine the route taken by the vehicle after the collision.
The investigation is also focused on tracing the driver involved in the accident. Since the vehicle has not yet been identified, police are examining available evidence from the accident location and nearby areas.
According to a report by TOI, after being informed about the accident, family members rushed him to Civil Hospital, Maihar, where doctors examined him and declared him dead. His body was kept in the hospital mortuary, police said.
Police have not yet identified the vehicle or its driver. Further action will be taken after the vehicle involved in the accident is traced and its driver is identified, officials said.
