Another Tragic Loss: 39-year-old Critical Care Specialist passes away

Dr Gaurav Mittal
New Delhi: The medical community is deeply shocked and saddened by the sudden demise of Dr Gaurav Mittal, a 39-year-old critical care specialist known for his compassion and expertise.
Dr. Mittal completed his DM in Critical Care Medicine from AIIMS, Delhi, and his MD in Anaesthesia from Chandigarh. Known among his colleagues and friends as a kind-hearted person and a brilliant mind, his untimely passing has created a deep void in the field of medicine.
Doctors, peers, and well-wishers have expressed their sorrow, remembering him not only for his academic excellence but also for his compassionate nature. Many have described his death as an irreparable loss to the medical fraternity.

It is both shocking, concerning and saddening that many doctors are losing their lives at a young age, with most cases linked to cardiovascular problems and other health-related issues. Dr Mittal's passing is the third case in a row.
Medical Dialogues had reported that Dr. Prakash Gupta, an anaesthesia specialist at Goyal Hospitals in Jodhpur, passed away at the age of 40 after suffering a cardiac arrest in his sleep. Dr. Gupta was an alumnus of the Department of Anaesthesiology at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (MGMC&H), Jaipur, and a critical care alumnus of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Jaipur. He was serving at Goyal Hospitals, Jodhpur, at the time of his demise.
Medical Dialogues had earlier also reported that a consultant cardiac surgeon at Saveetha Medical College passed away at the age of 39 after suffering a massive cardiac arrest while on hospital rounds. The deceased, Gradlin Roy, reportedly collapsed in the ward while doing duty rounds. Despite immediate medical intervention, he could not be saved and was pronounced dead by the doctors. He is survived by his wife and a young son.
