AP orthopaedician kills wife, 2 kids, mother before killing self at residence
Vijayawada: In a shocking incident, a 40-year-old orthopaedic doctor is reported to have murdered his four family members by strangling them before allegedly committing suicide on the balcony of their residence in Vijayavada.
The incident came to light after the police found the doctor and his four family members dead on Tuesday. The relatives of the doctor suspect that he resorted to the extreme step due to financial problems.
As per an IANS report, the doctor established a hospital in the city but after running into losses, he sold it. Since then, he has been facing financial hardship and in a distressed mood for the last few days.

According to police, when the servant went to the doctor's house, she found him hanging on the balcony. She immediately alerted the neighbours, who informed the police.
The police entered the house and found the bodies of Srinivas' wife Usha aged 38, daughter Sailaja aged 9, son Srihan aged 8 and mother Ramanamm aged 65. They were all believed to have been strangled to death.
Police suspect that Srinivas killed his family members before taking his life. They recovered a suicide note from the spot and shifted the bodies for autopsy.
Patamata CI, D.K.N. Mohan Reddy, who is investigating the case told The Hindu, "Clues team, sniffer dog and fingerprints experts collected evidence from the spot."
“We have registered a murder case on the death of the four family members and a suicide case on the death of the doctor,” said another police officer.
