Dr Kaushik Bhattacharya conferred with IMA's National Best Medical Teacher award for second time
Kishanganj: Dr Kaushik Bhattacharya from Siliguri has been honoured with the prestigious National Best Medical Teacher Award for the second time by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Headquarters in New Delhi.
Dr Kaushik Bhattacharya, a senior surgeon from Siliguri who is also working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at Mata Gujri Memorial Medical College Kishanganj in Bihar has been awarded the prestigious "National Best Medical Teacher Award" by the Indian Medical Association Headquarters New Delhi for the second time. He will receive this award during the National Conference of the Indian Medical Association in Hyderabad next month.

Dr Kaushik Bhattacharya has been recently selected as the International Surgical Ambassador of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is the first doctor from North Bengal to get this international recognition. Dr Kaushik Bhattacharya has over 200 publications in various International and national medical journals.
He has delivered several national Orations and lectures and will deliver the "Ramesh Nigam Memorial Oration" at the All India Surgeons Conference in Agra next month. He is also on the editorial board of many Surgical journals. Apart from medical laurels, Dr Kaushik Bhattacharya holds the unique record of receiving the Director General Border Security Force Commendation Roll thrice and Director General Sashastra Seema Bal Commendation Roll once during his contractual service for the combined armed police force in the past.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh has designated Dr Kaushik Bhattacharya as the International Surgical Ambassador (ISA) of the college. The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd), one of the world's oldest surgical colleges, established in 1505, has designated Dr. Kaushik Bhattacharya as their International Surgical Ambassador (ISA). This appointment is a significant honour, reflecting both the College's rich history and Dr. Bhattacharya's outstanding contributions to the field of surgery.
