New Delhi: Dr. Susheel Kumar Singh, Scientist-D at the ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre, was honoured with Phoenix Award at the prestigious Health AI Con 2026 for his contribution to healthcare innovation and translational research. With over 18 years of experience in the healthcare and biomedical research sector, Dr Singh has been recognised for his work in vaccine development and healthcare technology advancement.

The award was presented by Dr Abhijat Sheth, Chairperson, National Medical Commission (NMC) and President, NBEMS, along with Dr Anil Kohli, Former President of the Dental Council of India, and Dr Sanghamitra Pati, Additional Director General, ICMR, during the event held at Hotel Eros, New Delhi, on May 17, 2026.

Currently based in Bhubaneswar, Dr Singh has played an important role in advancing affordable healthcare-focused innovations in India. Over the years, he has worked across academic institutions, biotechnology companies, and international research environments, building strong expertise in molecular biology, translational research, and infectious disease research.

At present, he leads a multidisciplinary team at ICMR-RMRC Bhubaneswar and is involved in several collaborative healthcare projects aimed at improving public health outcomes and strengthening indigenous healthcare solutions in India.

Dr Singh has also contributed extensively to scientific literature and innovation in the healthcare space. He has co-authored more than 57 peer-reviewed publications and has been associated with multiple patents related to healthcare technologies and vaccine platforms.

Speaking about his journey, the nomination highlighted his long-standing commitment towards translational healthcare innovation and developing solutions that can contribute to accessible and impactful healthcare delivery.
