According to the police, the doctor experienced persistent vomiting and a reduced appetite after suffering an injury from a fall. However, the circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear, and authorities are investigating to determine the cause.
As per TOI news report, her decomposed body was discovered after the neighbours discovered a stench emanating from her house and realised she had not been seen for several days. Concerned about her, the neighbours informed the police.
After receiving the intel on Sunday night, a police team reached the doctor's house and found her decomposed body. Following this, they conducted a forensic post-mortem examination.
Further, the police registered a case of accidental death and an investigation is underway.
Speaking to TOI, a police officer said, "She was unmarried and lived alone. We learned from her close associate a few days ago that she suffered injuries from a fall and was experiencing persistent vomiting and loss of appetite."
