New Delhi: Former National Medical Commission (NMC) member Dr Jeetu Lal Ramprashad Meena’s remarkable journey in the field of quality healthcare has been chronicled in the book "Dr. J.L. Meena: PHC to NMC".
The book, authored by health journalist and Swasth Bharat Founder Chairman Ashutosh Kumar Singh, was launched at the Constitution Club of India in the presence of eminent medical professionals, policymakers, and intellectuals.

He further specialized in healthcare quality assurance, holding a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) degree in Quality Assurance, an MBA in Hospital Administration, and several postgraduate diplomas in Public Health Management, Health Law, and Quality Accreditation. Throughout his career, he has served as a Principal NABH Assessor, Principal NQAS Assessor, and NABL Internal Assessor, playing a pivotal role in shaping healthcare standards in India.
The book provides a firsthand account of Dr. Meena’s early struggles at a Primary Health Center (PHC), his transition to becoming a District Quality Health Assurance Officer, and his eventual role at the NMC.
