He has been Professor and Head of the Department since July 2023, having previously served as Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Lecturer at the same institution. His earlier career includes appointments as Senior Demonstrator and Lecturer at ASC College of Medical Sciences, Sidhra, and as Senior Research Fellow and Junior Resident at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, Maharashtra.
Dr. Dogra has received numerous accolades throughout his career. These include the FAIMER Fellowship, membership of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), the J&K Young Scientist Award presented by the former Vice President of India, Shri M. H. He also won awards for scientific presentations at MICROCON and the Maharashtra Chapter Conference of Medical Microbiologists.
Talking to Medical Dialogues, Dr. Dogra stated, “It is important that in an apex body like this, there are representatives from all the parts of the country, especially from border regions. I will take up concerns pertaining to the NEET exam, FMG’s demands, and eligibility norms of teachers to the apex level. I am hopeful that there will be meaningful dialogues among the authorities. I am glad that I will get to express my opinion as a representative of medical professionals regarding the upgradation of policies from my part of the country.”
