Immediately, the locals informed the police and the four were rescued from inside the damaged car.
As per a media report in The Tribune, the police said that one of the women was critically injured and was sent to hospital in an ambulance.
"While we suffered minor injuries, she was injured critically and sustained a head injury. She was rushed to Medanta," said the doctor who was driving the car.
While investigating the case, the police discovered CCTV footage of the accident and noticed that the driver who hit the SUV had fled from the scene after leaving his car.
Later, the doctor lodged a complaint at the Sohna Sadar police station and an FIR was registered against the unidentified driver under Section 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way), 337 (causing hurt to any person by doing any act rashly or negligently as to endanger human life or the personal safety of others) and 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of ₹50 or above) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Sadar Sohna police station on Tuesday.
It was reported that both cars were damaged and the other car had been seized by the investigating officer.
Police said the suspect driver Naresh Kumar (25), was driving a Maruti Baleno and was also injured in the accident. He was later arrested, reports HT.
