Indore Doctor Murder Case: Wife, In Affair with Lawyer, Hires Hitman to Kill Husband
Indore: An investigation into the murder of an Indore-based homoeopathic doctor has revealed shocking details as the police discovered that it was allegedly pre-planned by his wife. The woman, who has been in an extramarital affair with a lawyer from Ujjain since 2021, is accused of conspiring with her partner to hire a hitman to kill the doctor.
Although the doctor's wife confessed to the relationship during interrogation, she denied her involvement in the murder of the doctor. The lawyer who is a prime suspect in the case is currently absconding which prompted the police to launch a manhunt for him and offer a reward of Rs 5,000 for any information about his whereabouts.

Medical Dialogues recently reported that a 30-year-old Indore-based homoeopathic doctor was shot dead at his clinic by three unidentified men who posed as patients seeking treatment for cough and cold late Friday night. The accused entered the clinic with masks on pretending to be patients, one of them shot Dr Sunil Sahu once in the chest and then fled the scene immediately.
The connection between the doctor's wife and the lawyer became evident when the police went through a call recording on Dr Sahu's phone. Though the two primarily communicated via social media, this recording provided a critical breakthrough.
As per a Free Press Journal news report, Dr Sahu knew about his wife's affair with the lawyer. After a confrontation with his wife, the doctor became angry and asked her to call her parents and other family members and inform them about the affair.
This is suspected to be the reason behind the wife plotting the doctor's murder with her lover. It is reported that the wife made a plan with the lawyer to kill Dr Sahu. To execute the plan, the lawyer reportedly hired a shooter from Aligarh, U.P. and gave him the doctor's contact details and the clinic's location.
The suspicion of the affair grew stronger for the police as evidence pointed to frequent communication between the two since 2021, according to a TOI news report. Later the affair was confirmed by the doctor's wife leading the police to suspect the lawyer to hire the hitman.
When the police went to the lawyer's residence, they found the suspect jumping off the roof in an attempt to avoid being caught and arrested by the police. Shortly after, a team was dispatched to Gurugram to locate the lawyer, where he operates another advisory firm. The police have also questioned the lawyer's friends and relatives. One of his friends told police that he had taken some money from him.
Meanwhile, the police also found the location of the killer after investigating the CCTV footage from the scene. The footage pointed the car heading towards Ujjain on the day when the murder took place. A raid was conducted in Aligarh to spot the shooter.
The involvement of the wife in the doctor's murder case is yet to be confirmed as she denied any involvement in the case even though her call records showed frequent communication with the accused lawyer. Police authorities are investigating her role in the crime due to her close association with the lawyer.
Believing that the lawyer's arrest could uncover the identities of the hired shooters, who are suspected to have connections in Uttar Pradesh, a police officer told TOI, "We are looking for the suspect and further things will be clear only after his arrest. His wife's involvement will be clear only after interrogations with the accused."
