J&K: 11 doctors take charge of vacant posts
Srinagar: In a bid to improve patient care and increase departmental efficiency, the Health and Medical Education Department of Jammu & Kashmir has assigned charges under various posts to 11 doctors.
The order issued on December 21 by the Secretary of the department, IAS Bhupinder Kumar, stated that the following charges have been given to 11 doctors under different posts to improve patient care and departmental efficiency.
According to the order, Dr Rajeev Kumar Sharma (Medical Officer), who is presently In-charge (I/c) Medical Superintendent of Chest Diseases Hospital Jammu, shall look after the assignment of In-charge Deputy Director Health Services (HQ), Jammu.

Dr Perupkar Singh (Medical Officer), who is I/c DTO Jammu, shall look after the assignment of I/c Medical Superintendent Psychiatry Diseases Hospital, Jammu on an inter-cadre deputation basis. However, he will assume the charge with effect from 31-12-2022, on the superannuation of Dr Kirti Bushan.
Medical Officer Dr Kiran Kailu, presently posted in UHC Talab Tillo, shall look after the assignment of I/c Medical Superintendent Chest Diseases Hospital, Jammu, on a deputation basis while Dr Amita Turki (Medical Officer), presently posted in PHC Gole Gujral, shall look after the assignment of I/c DTO Jammu. However, she will assume the charge with effect from 31-12-2022 A N.
Dr Ritesh Khullar (I/c BMO Chowki-Choura) shall look after the charge of Controller of Stores, Jammu. However, he will assume the charge with effect from 31-12-2022 A N. i.e. on the superannuation of Dr Sanjeev Kumar Verma.
Medical Officer Dr Sumir Khajuria, presently posted in PHC Arnia, shall look after the assignment of I/c BMO Chowki-Choura. However, he will assume the charge with effect from 31-12-2022 A N.
Dr Harvinder Singh (presently posted in CHC Billawar), shall look after the assignment of I/c BMO Billawar while Dr Sudeshwar Kumar (presently posted in CHC Surankote), shall look after the assignment of I/c BMO Surankote.
Medical Officer Dr Khurshid Ahmad Khan (on deputation to State Health Agency J&K), shall look after the assignment of I/c BMO Boniyar while Dr Misbah Samad, (on deputation to National Health Mission) shall work in State Health Agency on standard terms and conditions of deputation.
Further, Dr Jahanara Ganai (Consultant Gynaecology), who is presently posted in DH Udhampur, shall work at SDH Kot Bhalwal.
"The arrangement in respect of doctors mentioned at S. No. 1 to 9, shall be purely on a temporary basis and subject to the outcome of writ petition(s), if any, pending before the Court(s) of law and shall not confer any right upon the officer(s) to claim preferential treatment at the time of formal placement/ regularization/promotion which shall be made strictly in accordance with the rules," reads the order.
