Lucknow doctor arrested for alleged theft at Thrissur hospital hostel

Thrissur- In a shocking incident, a 30-year-old female doctor from Lucknow has been arrested in connection with the alleged theft of valuables from the doctors' hostel attached to Amla Hospital in Thrissur.
The accused was arrested by a special investigation team comprising officers from the Thrissur City Police and the Peramangalam Police following an investigation into a complaint filed by a doctor from Palakkad.
The police stated that the accused allegedly gained easy access to the hospital premises and doctors' hostels by misusing his identity as a doctor.
According to the police, this incident occurred on December 11, 2025, when valuable things, including laptops, cash, and essential cards, went missing from the room shared by the complainant and their friends at the hospital hostel, as reported by Onmanorma.
Subsequently, a complaint was filed, and the suspect was arrested as a result of the investigation initiated by the Peramangalam police.
This case was investigated under the supervision of Thrissur City Police Commissioner Nakul Rajendra Deshmukh, with the assistance of officials from the Special Branch, the Thrissur City Special Action Group on Organised Crime (SAGOC), and the Peramangalam Police Station.
Investigators believe she entered the complainant's room while it was vacant, allegedly stole a laptop, cash, and other valuable documents, and then fled the scene.
During the investigation, the police discovered that the accused was wanted in connection with several theft cases outside of Kerala. Officials stated that she allegedly travelled to various cities across multiple states and gained entry into hospitals and stole valuables such as mobile phones, laptops, and cash.
Further investigation also revealed that she frequently travelled between tourist destinations and cities, funding her lavish lifestyle with money obtained through theft. Ultimately, she was tracked down at a hotel in Erode, Tamil Nadu, where she was staying before her arrest.
