MBBS intern threatened with sickle at GMC Dharashiv, video goes viral

Dharashiv: A shocking CCTV footage from the Government Medical College (GMC), Dharashiv, is circulating widely on the internet, showing an intoxicated individual threatening and attacking an on-duty MBBS intern doctor with a sickle, holding it directly close to his neck.
In the viral video, the intern doctor, wearing a white shirt, is seen walking across the campus with another individual when a man suddenly charges at him with a sickle and places it near his neck. He then begins threatening the intern. The incident lasted for about a minute.
According to a doctor who shared the video on a popular social media platform, 'X' (formerly Twitter), alleged that one of the interns, while being on duty at the medical college hospital, was subjected to a horrifying act of violence on the hospital grounds.

He claimed that the incident took place on the night of August 2 when a group of individuals, reportedly intoxicated, forcefully entered the hospital and threatened the intern by placing a sickle directly against his neck. However, the motive behind the act remains unclear.
An 'X' user also shared the video in a post and wrote, "Intern doctor Dr. Himanshu Vyas was brutally attacked with a knife while on duty at Civil Hospital, Dharashiv (Osmanabad). Such violence against healthcare staff cannot be tolerated and must be addressed."
Medical Dialogues recently reported that two on-duty doctors in the emergency ward of Tripura's Govind Ballabh Pant (GBP) hospital were allegedly attacked and verbally abused by the relatives of a patient. The injured doctor, identified as Dr Litan Das, was admitted to the same hospital after he suffered multiple injuries. He is, however, out of danger, the official said.
