MP: Community Health Centre reels under shortage of Doctors
Manawar: The community health center (CHC) at Bamkaner is reportedly reeling under a shortage of doctors, seriously affecting the patients who depend on the health center for primary healthcare facilities.
Patients from around 100 villages who visit the health center are now suffering, and as a result, they are getting exploited financially, physically, and psychologically by the quacks and unqualified doctors due to the absence of proper doctors.

Block Medical officer Dr. Virendra Dharve has been alerted of the situation and the difficulties faced by the villagers in the doctor's absence. He wrote letters to the District Health Officer and District Collector, Sub-Divisional Officer Revenue Manawar, on August 30, 2022, seeking the appointment of new doctors at the Block Community Health Center, Bamkaner.
The Free Press Journal reports that the doctors who were posted at the CHC have shifted, been posted to other places, or resigned. For instance, Dr. Brahm Raj Kaushal posted, who worked at the CHC, was posted as Block Medical Officer at Dharmapuri Dhamnod, Dr. Nilesh Patidar, who is posted at CHC has shifted to Indore for pursuing higher studies, and Dr. Shubham Jaiswal, who was working on a contract basis at CHC, has resigned.
Following these reports, the Senior BJP leader Babulal Sisodia, sarpanch Sunil Jaiswal, Dhar district in-charge minister Anita Daddu Singh Chouhan, and regional MLA and MP have demanded new doctors to be appointed at CHC Bamkaner as early as possible.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported about the rural health report released by the center, which had revealed the shortage of around 68% specialist doctors like surgeons, pediatricians, obstetricians, gynecologists, and physicians in rural India, indicating the poor condition of healthcare services available at thousands of community healthcare centers (CHC) in the rural areas.
