Bhopal: A doctor's house has been robbed by miscreants in Saket Nagar, who fled with valuables worth Rs 4 lakhs.
The Govindpura police have begun investigating the case. According to them, the incident took place when the complainant identified as Dr Deepak Sen had left home to drop his mother at the railway station at around 3. When the doctor returned after an hour, he found that valuable things were stolen from his place.
After the incident, the doctor filed a complaint with the Govindpura police. He had inaugurated his new house in Saket Nagar two days back. According to the complaint, the doctor had gone to drop his mother and he found the doors open and valuables stolen upon his return, reports the Daily Pioneer.
The complainant alleged that gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 4 lakhs was stolen. Following the complaint, the police conducted a preliminary investigation based on which they registered a case under sections 454 and 380 of the IPC. The police are further probing the case.
According to the police, they had searched the CCTV footage of the nearby installed cameras as part of their investigation. The footage has revealed certain suspects, said the police.
The neighbours reportedly remained unaware of the theft. Further, the incident took place within a short time, which shows that the thieves knew about the whereabouts of the doctor.
