Mumbai Doctor faces FIR for allegedly assaulting, threatening lady doctor
Mumbai: A case has been registered against a doctor for allegedly assaulting and threatening a woman doctor to death in Mumbai. The FIR was registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Following this, the accused was booked by the police and an investigation into the matter is in process.
According to Mumbai Police, a case was registered at Kurar Police Station against the accused doctor.

Police said the accused allegedly entered into a physical altercation with a woman doctor and verbally abused her, adding that he also threatened to kill her.
As per a media report in Patrika, on December 24, 2022, the victim had gone to a BMC hospital for some work, when the accused doctor, despite not being a health doctor, was vaccinating people there. Therefore, the victim reported the matter to the senior officer and it is alleged that the victim was assaulted and threatened by the accused for the complaint.
The FIR was registered under sections 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code.
Further investigation is underway.
Medical Dialogues team has recently reported about the horrific incident of an Indian Origin doctor who was found guilty of 115 sexual offences against 28 women and minor girls has been sentenced to two more life sentences with a minimum term of 10 years to run concurrently by Old Bailey Court.
The court described him as a "danger to women" and a “master of deception” while delivering the verdict.
Earlier, in February 2020, he was handed three life sentences with a minimum term of 15 years in prison for 90 offences against 24 women after two separate trials. However, In December last year, he was convicted of 25 more counts of sexual offences against four more women and girls. Therefore, he is now convicted of 115 offences of sexual assault against 28 women and teenagers aged between 15 and 34.
