Mysuru doctor accused in fake suicide plot as colleague dies after 12-year coma

Mysuru Doctor Accused of Emotional and Physical Abuse, Investigation Reignited
Mysuru: A disturbing case has emerged in Mysuru, involving a doctor accused of emotionally manipulating women, staging fake suicide attempts, and destroying lives over the past decade. The allegations have now resurfaced after being revealed by his own wife, bringing renewed attention to a 12-year-old case.
According to the news reports, the accused, a junior doctor, allegedly trapped several women emotionally. One of the most serious cases involves a senior doctor who spent over a decade in a near-vegetative state before recently passing away.

The case dates back to 2014, when the senior doctor, then practising in the Ayurveda department of a private college in Mysuru, came into contact with the accused, who was her junior. The situation reportedly took a dark turn when he cited age-related concerns and family pressure to avoid marriage. Under the guise of a “suicide pact,” he allegedly took her to a lodge in Srirangapatna, convincing her they would end their lives together.
He is accused of administering sleeping pills and an overdose injection. While he allegedly staged his own suicide attempt and recovered quickly—being discharged from the hospital within a day—the woman slipped into a coma.
For the next 12 years, she reportedly remained in a severely impaired condition, having lost her memory and being unable to recognise her loved ones, before eventually passing away.
Following the 2014 incident, the senior doctor’s father filed a complaint accusing him of attempting to murder his daughter. However, the Hunsur Rural Police reportedly filed a B-report.
Similar complaints, including one from the doctor’s former wife and another involving a chartered accountant, were also reportedly closed with B-reports.
After these incidents, the doctor married his current wife, who claims she was unaware of his past. She claimed that his true nature came out within just 15 days of marriage. Unable to bear the alleged abuse, she returned to her parental home.
In her complaint, the wife has alleged that the accused used to come home drunk, physically and mentally harass her, and even threaten her with a gun. She has further claimed that he pressured her to transfer property in his name. Stating that she was unaware of his past at the time of marriage, she has appealed for justice and said that no other woman should suffer like her, reports News First Prime.

A fresh complaint has now been filed by the wife, potentially reopening scrutiny into the doctor’s past actions. The accused is currently said to be running a clinic in Hunsur taluk.
