Nurse duped of Rs 4.5 lakh on pretext of government job, doctor booked
Jaipur: In another job fraud case reported in the city, a female doctor has been booked for allegedly cheating a male nurse of Rs 4.45 lakh by promising to get him a position at a community health centre.
The Udyog Nagar police registered a case based on the complaint of a male nurse who claimed that the doctor promised him about giving a government job at the health centre. Due to this, he even paid the doctor a huge sum but, in return, got scammed and lost his money.
According to the police, the complainant was in search of a government job after working at a private hospital in Sikar for the past 10 years. Taking advantage of his desperation, the doctor cheated him and also refused to return his money.

When the nurse did not receive his money back, he realized that the doctor had scammed him. Therefore, he approached the police and registered a case against the doctor under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The police, on the other hand, started an investigation into the matter.
Explaining the matter in detail, a senior police officer informed TOI, “He met the doctor who was working in another hospital almost two years ago. She told the nurse that she has good sources in the health department and can help him in getting a government job."
"The woman asked him to pay Rs 5.50 lakh if he wished to get a government job. Later, the complainant gave her the required amount. However, even after a couple of months, the complainant did not get any call for examination or interview for a government job. When the complainant repeatedly chased the doctor and asked her to return the money she returned only Rs 1.45 lakh."
“We have registered a case under appropriate sections of IPC and initiated investigations,” the officer added.
