Odisha Govt posts 10 Ophthalmologists in MCHs as Assistant Professors
Bhubaneswar: Filling up the vacant posts of assistant professors at various Medical Colleges and Hospitals, the Odisha Health and Family Welfare department issued a notification on Friday recruiting ten ophthalmologists to the posts on a temporary basis.
The notification was issued by the department on Friday, 24th March through which the temporary appointments were made under the Odisha Medical Education Service (OMES).

The order read, "On the recommendation of the Odisha Public Service Commission pursuant to the advertisement No 19 of 2021-22, and consequent upon appointment given vide this department notification No. 23516 dated 18.10.2022, Notification No.27936 dated 08,12.2022, and Notification No.857 dated 12.01.2023, the following candidates are hereby posted temporarily as Assistant Professors in the respective disciplines as mentioned below under OMES Cadre of Health & Family Welfare Department in the Academic Level 12 of First Schedule of this department notification No. 33012 dated 16.12.2019 with other allowances as admissible from time to time on probation for a period of one year from the date of their actual joining in the post or until further orders."
The appointees have been asked to join their respective areas within 30 days from the date of the issued notification. Further, they have been directed to produce the acceptance orders of their resignation/relieve orders from the respective authorities if they are already appointed in any cadre of the state or Central government, as per a media report in the Ommcom News.
Those who were recruited directly have been directed to join their place of posting within 15 days from the date of the issue of notification, failing which the appointment orders would be automatically canceled.
The 10 appointed ophthalmologists are Dr Susanta Kumar Pujahari (SCB MCH, Cuttack), Dr Aparajita Banerjee (SCB MCH, Cuttack), Dr Deepak Choudhury (SCB MCH, Cuttack), Dr Jyoti Ranjan Mallick (FM MCH, Balasore), Dr Satyanarayan Mallik (SCB MCH, Cuttack), Dr Swarnamayee Baskey (PRM MCH, Mayurbhanj), Dr Jayanta Kumar Patel (BB MCH, Bolangir), Dr Laxmidhar Jena (SJ MCH, Puri), Dr Suroma Joysmine Marndi (SCB MCH, Cuttack) and Dr Aseema Mallik (MKCG MCH, Berhampur).
