Sikkim Police Arrest Two After Doctor Manhandled
Gyalshing: In a recent case of violence against medical professionals, two individuals were arrested for allegedly assaulting an on-duty doctor at the Dentam Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Gyalshing district on the evening of September 5.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 8 p.m. on September 5 when an injured patient was brought to the PHC for emergency treatment. After an initial examination, the doctor referred the patient to the Gyalshing District Hospital for further treatment. Following the referral, two attendants suspected of being under the influence of alcohol reportedly became aggressive.
