One more Doctor resigns from Aam Aadmi Clinic in Patiala
Senior officials of the Health Department confirmed that the doctor had given the wrong medications to the patients. Following an inquiry, a notice was reportedly served to the doctor over giving the wrong medications to the patients.
Patiala: Punjab's Government Aam Aadmi Clinics continue to struggle to maintain their functionality after doctors reportedly quit jobs. One more doctor has tendered her resignation at one of the Aam Aadmi Clinics in Patiala, citing a personal reason.

According to the Tribune sources, the doctor was prescribing the wrong medicines to the patients who came under the health department's radar. Therefore, the doctor was asked to render her resignation in this regard.

After a few days, she resigned from the post, citing personal reasons, and the resignation was accepted by the health department.
The Aam Aadmi Clinic was a massive project by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, opened on August 15, aiming to provide easy and accessible treatments to the state's citizens.
Due to the doctors quitting their job, the clinics are reeling under a workforce shortage. The health department has already made temporary arrangements at the clinic by deploying a regular employee from a Community Health Centre in Model Town.
Until a permanent physician has been assigned to the clinic, the temporary deputation would also affect the CMC.
Moreover, the Aam Aadmi Clinic in which the doctor has resigned will face increasing pressure from patients waiting to get medical treatments. Originally, an Aam Aadmi clinic had one medical officer, pharmacist, clinic assistant, and helping staff.
A senior official of the Health Department said, "We had already written to the higher-ups for the replacement of the doctor at the clinic."
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that after the launch of mohalla clinics in the city, another doctor had tendered his resignation, citing a personal reason in Ferozepur.
