Rajasthan: Two doctors allegedly get thrashed by four miscreants outside Bharatpur Medical College

Jaipur: Two doctors have been mercilessly thrashed by four men outside the Bharatpur Medical college. The incident took place on Thursday night outside College.

The two doctors have been identified as Ravi Chopra and Naveen Gujjar attached to Bharatpur Medical college. The doctors identified one of the accused as Chandu Deshwal.

Just like any other day, both the doctors took a break from duty and went outside for tea, when an SUV car approached them and four men were sitting inside who asked them for a cigarette. Ravi refused the demand and Naveen was on the phone. Ravi and the four men got in a verbal fight after the refusal.

It was around 9 pm when the fight took a turn as the drunk four men started firing a gun after Naveen tried to calm the situation. They fired near Naveen's feet and subsequently started beating them with rods and sticks. After beating the doctors mercilessly, the four men fled from the spot.

One of the doctors injured his head severely and was rushed to the hospital where doctors stitched his head. Both the doctors were given proper treatment at the hospital.

Later, the doctors filed a complaint against the four men at the police station. Police have registered the case and an investigation is underway to nab the four accused.

The doctors informed the police that while they were getting beaten, two of the four men tried to stop their other two members but to no avail.

When asked to the principal of the college regarding the incident, he told TN, "As the incident happed outside the campus and no students were involved, there is not much I can do"
