Telangana Medical Council launches digital CPD platform for doctors

Telangana Doctors Get Paperless, Verified CPD Certification via New Portal
Hyderabad: To modernise medical education and ensure compliance, the Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) has launched a fully digital Continuous Professional Development (CPD) system. The platform is designed to streamline applications, approvals, and certification for TGMC-accredited medical organisations.
The new fully digital system allows doctors and medical institutions to submit CPD programmes online and track approvals in real time, significantly reducing administrative delays. Upon successful completion of a CPD programme, doctors will receive digital certificates directly to their registered email IDs, eliminating the need for paper-based documentation and improving security.

According to the Hans India, the Telangana Medical Council reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening professional standards and promoting continuous learning through technology-driven governance. For further details, medical associations may visit the official TGMC portal.
Last year, the TGMC implemented a QR code initiative to ensure patients receive treatment only from qualified medical practitioners. Under this system, all registered doctors must display their QR codes at clinics and on prescriptions.

Medical Dialogues had previously reported that to ensure that patients get treatment only from qualified medical practitioners, the Telangana Medical Council (TSMC) has directed all registered doctors to display their QR codes at their clinics and even on prescriptions. These QR codes, issued by the council to qualified doctors at the time of registration, are printed on the registration certificate. When scanned, the code provides essential background information about the registered doctor, ensuring transparency.
