A team of police came to know that he was fleeing after committing the murder of his wife after rescuing him. The doctor has been arrested and sent to jail.
As per various media accounts, the marriage of the couple was on the verge of breaking down and the doctor went to visit her at her parent's place as the couple was staying apart. However, their conversations turned into arguments and the doctor suddenly allegedly attacked his wife with a knife and eventually ran her over with his car too. The woman was rushed to the nearby hospital but was declared dead.
As per a recent media report by The News Minute, the doctor has been identified as a 35-year-old native of Coimbatore, who was serving at SRM Medical College and Hospital; however, he left his job during the covid-19 pandemic almost 6 months ago. The doctor was married to the lady who worked in the human resources department at a college Melmaruvathur. The couple got married three years ago but their relationship was facing high waters as the doctor was suspicious of his wife's fidelity and often quarreled about it.
Almost six months ago the wife could not take it anymore and left him to go to her parent's house. According to the Times of India, on Friday, the doctor paid a visit to his in-law's home in Madurantaka in order to negotiate with his wife. Hearing her desperate plea for help, her parents rushed to her aid; however, the doctor attacked them and overpowered them too. Meanwhile, the victim saw an opportunity to run away and to seek help from outside. When escaped and made it to the streets, the doctor followed her and allegedly ran her over with his car. The victim was immediately rushed to a government hospital but was declared brought dead.
