UP: Father-son Doctor duo allegedly commit suicide by consuming poison, leave 3 suicide notes
Lucknow: In a shocking incident, a father-son doctor duo has allegedly committed suicide by consuming poisonous substances in Vibhav Khand on Friday night.
The deceased doctors have been identified as a 40-year-old veterinary officer in Rae Bareli and his 75 years old father, a retired chief veterinary officer, who used to live in the Vibhuti Khand area of Lucknow.
As per various media reports, when one of the family members reached their residence following a questionable Whatsapp message, they found both the father and son lying in an unconscious state in two separate rooms. One of the three suicide notes recovered from the house reads, "no one is responsible for this."
Police have started investigating the case and have already sent the bodies of the late doctors to the hospital for post-mortem. All the three suicide notes, found at their residence by Police would be sent for forensic examinations as well.

According to a media report by Hindustan, on the day of the tragic incident, both the wives of the doctors had been absent from home. The doctor's mother had gone to son-in-law's house and the 45-year-old doctor's wife had been visiting her maternal home on that day.
The Times of India adds that the son's little brother Sanju had been the first to notice something unusual about the situation when he received a Whatsapp message from his older brother that read, "tum dekh lo". Following this, he called his brother-in-law, who hurriedly went to the residence to check on the situation. He found both the doctors lying unconscious in their rooms and informed UP-112.
While commenting on the matter, assistant commissioner of police, Vibhuti Khand, Praveen Malik told TOI, "The incident came to light when Ashish Mishra, the brother-in-law of the doctor, received a call from the deceased's younger brother from Delhi that something was wrong as he had received a WhatsApp message from his elder brother -- "Tum Dekhlo".
TOI adds that Police have also received a handwritten note from the doctor's room that read "It is too much, cannot handle it anymore".
The report by Hindustan mentions that the suicide notes, which the family has identified to be written by the doctor, hint at the family discord that had been going on over the property, as mentioned by the neighbors. ACP has informed the daily that while a note had been dedicated by the doctor to his wife asking her to do the job after his death, the other note had been written for younger brother mentioning him to give a list of things to the doctor's wife. The third note directed the brother-in-law Ashish to take care of the younger brother and sister.
The media report by Hindustan further adds that police officials are suspecting that probably the son consumed poisonous substances after poisoning his father. Only the post-mortem report could bring more light to this assumption.
