Bareilly: A medical officer posted at a community health center (CHC) has been arrested on charges of teasing and assaulting a staff nurse, police said.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Raj Kumar Agarwal said the staff nurse has alleged that Ram Krishna Verma teased her when she was posted at primary health center Navi Baksh in Bareilly. "The nurse has alleged that when she opposed, the doctor assaulted her," he said.
He said a case was lodged on the basis of a complaint filed by the nurse and her medical examination was also conducted.
"After an initial investigation, accused Verma was arrested late on Friday night and was sent to jail on Saturday," added the SP.
