5 Nursing Officers face suspension, Civil surgeon and Doctor serve show cause notice: Patient found dead in MP Govt hospital washroom
"The patient was admitted to the surgical ward of the district hospital on December 9. His body was found in the toilet of a ward on December 12, three days after he went missing," district Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Pawan Jain said.
Shivpuri: Five nursing officers associated with the Shivpuri district hospital in Madhya Pradesh have been given suspension and the administration served a civil surgeon and a doctor a show-cause notice in connection with the 40-year-old missing patient's body found in the toilet of the surgery department of the hospital.
A 40-year-old man was found dead in the bathroom of the state-run district hospital, three days after he was admitted to a hospital ward and went "missing," an official said on Tuesday.
Following the recovery of the body on Monday, the administration suspended five nursing officers while the civil surgeon and a doctor were served show-cause notice, he said.

Devi Lal Shakya, a resident of the Kamlaganj area, was admitted to District Hospital Shivpuri on December 9 with a complaint of abdominal pain. Devi Lal had gone missing after being admitted.
The relatives lodged a complaint about Devilal's missing at the city police station. He was seen going to the bathroom of the ward in the CCTV camera of the hospital. Later Devi Lal was found dead in the surgery department's toilet, reports Dainik Bhaskar.
"The patient was admitted to the surgical ward of the district hospital on December 9. His body was found in the toilet of a ward on December 12, three days after he went missing," district Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Pawan Jain said.
He said the sanitary supervisor of a private firm engaged in cleaning work at the hospital was also served notices.
After the incident, the civil surgeon terminated the services of four sanitary workers.
Jain said CCTV camera footage will be checked.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that following a video clip of two government gynaecologists at the Bidadi community health centre in Ramanagara district allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 6000 from the husband of a woman who had delivered a baby at the hospital went viral on social media, the Karnataka health department had suspended both doctors and an inquiry has been ordered in the matter.
