Army Hospital Research and Referral's College of Nursing Marks 'World Health Day' with educational initiatives
New Delhi: In a spirited commemoration of World Health Day 2024, the College of Nursing at Army Hospital (Research and Referral) orchestrated a vibrant celebration under the theme "My Health, My Right." The event, held on Saturday, radiated enthusiasm as students fervently advocated for holistic well-being, delving into the realms of physical, mental, and spiritual health.
The occasion not only served as a platform for raising awareness but also as an educational endeavor, with students passionately emphasizing the interconnectedness of various facets of health in fostering overall wellness.
According to an ANI report, Additionally, a Nutrifest was also organised by the students to educate participants about various therapeutic diets and their role in maintaining health.
The event was graced by Lt Gen Ajith Nilakantan PVSM, Commandant, AH(R&R) and inaugurated by Hema Nilakantan who lighted the E lamp to enlighten the importance of health awareness.
On World Health Day 2024, the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the National Task Force (NTF) on mental health and well-being of students launched the innovative initiative "My Health, My Rights."
This pioneering effort, coordinated by the Anti-Ragging Committee of the National Medical Commission, aims to address healthcare challenges faced by medical students and professionals alike.
Medical Dialogues team recently reported that Aiming to address the healthcare challenges faced by medical students and professionals alike, the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the National Task Force on Mental Health and Well-being of Medical Students (NTF) has launched an innovative initiative "My Health, My Rights" on the occasion of World Health Day 2024- April 7th 2024. Considering the demanding nature of the medical profession and how it takes a toll on the physical, mental and emotional health of healthcare providers, this initiative will act as a support system for medical students and professionals by providing mental health support services, confidential counselling, therapy, and resources.
