CGHS Suspends 19 Delhi Hospitals for Raising Forged Bills, See list
New Delhi: The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) has suspended the empanelment of 19 hospitals/Healthcare Organizations (HCOs) empanelled under CGHS Delhi/NCR for fraudulently raising fake and forged bills and admitting beneficiaries with their family members simultaneously multiple times and periodically.
The list of these 19 hospitals that have been removed from the CGHS empanelment includes Sharma Medicare Pvt Ltd., Shivalik Medical Centre Pvt Ltd., Apex City Hospital, Jeevan Jyoti Hospital, Bhardwaj Hospital, Surbhi Hospital, Dipakshi Nursing & Maternity Home Pvt. Ltd., Dr. Chaudhary's Moral Hospital Pvt. Ltd., Prakash Hospital, Kashvi Multi Speciality Centre, Makkar Multi Speciality Hospital, Santosh Multi Speciality Hospital, Navin Hospital, Kosmos Super Speciality Hospital, Prayag Hospital & Research Centre, Pawan Hospital, Flores Hospital, Vasundhara Hospital, and Atlanta Mediworld Multispeciality Hospital.
Issuing an order in this regard on 11.11.2024, the Additional Director of CGHS (HQ), Delhi, mentioned, "With reference to the above mentioned matter, the undersigned is directed to draw attention to the Office Memorandum No. S-11045/36/2012-CGHS (HEC), dated 01.10.2014 and OM No. S-11011/09/2022/CGHS (HEC), dated 13.09.2022 vide which the following Health Care Organizations (HCOs) were empanelled under CGHS Delhi/NCR and to state that these HCOs were found indulging in fraudulent activities by raising fake & forged Bills, admitting beneficiaries with their family members simultaneously multiple times and periodically."

"The matter was viewed very seriously by the Competent Authority and it has been decided to suspend the Empanelment of 19 HCOs with immediate effect till further orders," it added.

However, in the order, CGHS clarified that the beneficiaries who are already admitted in the hospital before the order was issued, shall be continued to be provided treatment at CGHS rates till the completion of their treatment.
"The CGHS beneficiaries already admitted in the hospital prior to the issue of this order shall however continued to be provided treatment at CGHS rates till completion of their treatment and their bills are to be submitted to National Health Authority/ concerned department, as the case may be, with justification for consideration and payment," specified the order.
