Fire breaks out at cancer hospital in Kotla Mubarakpur
New Delhi: A fire broke out at a cancer hospital in south Delhi's Kotla Mubarakpur area on Monday afternoon. Eight fire tenders were swiftly deployed to the spot to extinguish the fire, according to officials.
An official of the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) said a call was received from Oncoplus Hospital at Kotla Mubarakpur at 12.35 pm.
According to a PTI report, The fire started at a metre board on the ground floor of the multi-storey building. The fire was brought under control in a few minutes, the official said.

As per a media report in the TOI, ''There were about 15-20 patients inside. They were evacuated on stretchers. Ambulances were called to transport them, ''the officer said. The fire was doused quickly, he added.
According to Atul Garg, Director of the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), although the hospital possessed a fire NOC (No Objection Certificate), its fire suppression system was found to be non-operational.
The official said no one was injured in the incident.
