"The blaze was brought under control using fire extinguishers available at the hospital. No one was injured in the incident," she added.
Eyewitnesses said the fire created panic for a brief period among patients and their attendants.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that panic gripped the Northern Railway Divisional Hospital in Lucknow's Alambagh early Monday morning after a massive fire broke out, filling the corridors with thick smoke.
According to news reports, the blaze, which reportedly began around 5:30 a.m., was traced to a suspected short circuit in the CCTV server room on the ground floor.
