GMC Super Specialty Block to be de-notified as COVID Hospital: Goa Health Minister
In a series of tweets, Rane said two wards of the Old GMC wing would be dedicated for COVID management due to the new strains that has been discovered in South Africa.
Panaji: Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Friday said that Super Specialty Block of Goa Medical College (GMC) and Hospital would be will be de-notified as a COVID hospital.
In a series of tweets, he said two wards of the Old GMC wing would be dedicated for COVID management due to the new strains that has been discovered in South Africa.

Efforts to move several specialised departments to the Super Speciality Block were in full swing, he added.
'The Super Specialty Block, a state-of-the-art hospital that will bring all specialties under one roof and fulfill every Goan's dream, will soon become a reality. It will be inaugurated by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji in the near future,' he said in the tweet.
