Guntur Medical College male nurse arrested for allegedly filming women doctors

Guntur Medical College Nurse Arrested
Amaravati: In a shocking case, a male nurse was arrested for allegedly secretly filming female doctors and medical postgraduate students at Guntur Medical College while they were changing clothes inside a changing area.
According to DSP Bhanoday, the accused had joined the hospital nearly a month ago. The incident reportedly occurred inside the operation theatre’s changing room.
The alleged misconduct came to light when the women doctors noticed a disturbance and immediately alerted the hospital administration. The administration promptly lodged a complaint with the police, who took the nurse into custody the same day and seized his phone for forensic analysis.
Speaking to TOI, CI Srinivas said, "There appears to be a two-foot gap between the changing room and the adjoining room from where he allegedly shot the videos and photos. This aspect is under detailed verification."
Police have retrieved two video clips suspected of having been filmed by the accused.
The DSP stated that the women doctors had already deleted the recorded videos from the phone. "Efforts are underway to retrieve the deleted data," he said, reports the Deccan Chronicle.
Responding to rumours circulating on social media that the phone contained nearly 200 videos, the officer clarified that there was no evidence to support those claims so far.
The investigation is ongoing to determine the full extent of the misconduct.
