Himachal Pradesh: No Radiologist at Bagsiad Civil Hospital
Mandi: The Bagsiad Civil hospital is currently functional without a radiologist and the post has been vacant for a week. Residents of the Mandi district are facing a tough time without a radiologist at the hospital.
The state government have been informed about the unavailability of a radiologist at the hospital leading to the slow operation of the hospital. The matter was informed by the residents of the Seraj Assembly constituency in the Mandi district.
The locals are now complaining and urging the government to appoint a radiologist as they are unable to get the test done at the hospital. Ultrasound and X-ray are the basic tests needed to diagnose any disease in the patients. The functioning of the hospital has also got affected by it.
Yograj, a native of Seraj, said that "the radiologist posted at Bagsiad has left and the post was now lying vacant. As a result, the health services related to the radiology department have been affected in all three health institutions of Seraj valley at Janjehli, Thunag and Bagsiad."
Earlier, the radiologist at the hospital used to serve at three different hospitals including a CHC, Thunag and Janjehli Civil Hospital to conduct the test on alternate days. As soon as the radiologist left the post, the other hospitals are now suffering without a radiologist to conduct proper medical tests for the patients. Machines for ultrasound and X-ray are only available at three hospitals in Seraj valley at Bagsiad, Thunag and Janjehli.
